The International Conference on Self-Assembly of Colloidal Systems (SACS’18) aims to bring together some of the most active and recognized chemists, physicists, theoreticians and engineers, to discuss the use of self-assembly as a tool to design functional colloidal materials with tailored properties.

The conference will be held from 20th to 22nd September 2018, in Bordeaux, France (Bordeaux university campus). It will feature some 6 outstanding Plenary Lectures, 6 Keynote Lectures and oral presentations delivered by internationally renowned scientists, as well as poster presentations. To facilitate contacts between the scientists, the number of participants is limited at 150. We trust SACS’18 will be of great interest to researchers working in the areas of :

  • Synthesis, characterization, and size-dependent properties of organic, inorganic and hybrid colloidal materials,
  • Self-assembly (spontaneous, directed, dynamic) on surfaces and in bulk,
  • Ligand effects on synthesis, properties, and assembly,
  • Applications of bottom-up colloidal and polymer materials (e.g., energy, responsive materials, metamaterials, MEMS, catalysis, nano-medecine, etc.).

This event is associated with the “Soft Matter for Functional Materials – SoFun’2” summer school, which will take place from 17th to 19th September near Bordeaux and will be dedicated to the elaboration techniques, the characterizing methods and the theoretical aspects of functional soft materials.

Congratulations to the award winners
